The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, by Mark Haddon, is one of the most interesting books I've read in a long time. The half-familiar, half-alien perspective of the narrator, an autistic boy, is maintained convincingly throughout, and the book never drops into sentimentality. This is a fast read, but not a shallow one. Highly recommended.
