Friday I got back in to the Kerry volunteer HQ, and did database work and such for a few hours. Just as I was wrapping up, former Senator Max Cleland came in to say hi. He was very good about making sure he met pretty much everyone in the room -- even me, and I was more or less hiding behind my computer, since I didn't really care if I met him or not. Anyway, he talked for a good hour, about the historical importance of this campaign, and his faith in Kerry, and such. His best line was that he thought more and more people would come over to Kerry's side as the campaign wears on because "Kerry grows on you." Seems like there should be some sort of advertising slogan there. Certainly President Bush has not grown on me.

In other news, Shattermask and I were watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics yesterday, and they were down to the final children's chorus singing something incomprehensible but no doubt inspirational, and I thought heh -- it's a Greek chorus. Hee. I amuse myself. It would have been totally cool if it had been a classic Greek chorus, actually. I can just visualize the chorus interjecting commentary on the IOC president's speech about keeping to the purity of the ideal Olympian -- "that means no drugs!"
